About Glasgow Chessfest

The inaugural GCF ran from Tuesday 20th May till Monday 26th May, 2025.

There were 13 events in total, spanning the 7 days. Over 200 people took part, and probably another 200 took time out to look at the goings on.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who got involved. Click on our Events page to see some pics and to see the names of the many folk who made this possible.

At the final event on the Bank Holiday Monday, inside the Saint Enoch Centre, we had from left to right:
Current Scottish Chess Champion Andrew Greet, Chessmasters TV Host Anthony Mathurin, Traitors Superfan Andrew, Ian the Manager of the excellent Namaste Restaurant, and a young Chinese lad who loved playing TTK on the giant chess set.
